“Fourth of July” Pancakes

The weekend before the fourth, Nate and I went to a little farmer’s market not far from our house. Unfortunately, they only had 2 stalls open the day we went so it didn’t turn into quite the trip we were expecting. (Granted, it was supposed to be over 100 that afternoon, so we weren’t terribly surprised nobody wanted to be out at noon.)

We did end up buying some blueberries. Later, we got some strawberries at the grocery store (to have a sweet snack around that wasn’t candy.)

The Fourth rolled by (we both worked… not a lot of celebrating on the actual day) but we decided to institute a new family tradition by having Fourth of July pancakes with our leftover blueberries and strawberries this weekend.

How patriotic

Pretty and delicious!
